Lois Perkins Chapel - Southwestern University

This painting began as a very personal gift. Our daughter attended Southwestern University, where she quickly fell in love with the campus and community. She became a campus tour guide and later played a key role in recruiting her brother to join the football team. She also served as a manager and trainer for the team, which is where she met her now-husband, a standout defensive end.

Our son Ethan shone on the football field as well, earning all-conference honors, Offensive MVP, and Team MVP before moving on to play at Rice University, where he also completed his Master’s degree. Meanwhile, our daughter continued her education and now works as a mental health counselor.

In 2025, our daughter married her husband in the beautiful Lois Perkins Chapel at Southwestern. As a United Methodist pastor, I had the honor of officiating their wedding. As an artist, I had the privilege of creating this painting of the chapel as a wedding gift to them.

Friends, family, and alumni who have seen the painting have asked if prints would be available. I’m now offering a limited edition of 100 archival 11×14 Giclée prints and a limited edition of 100 archival 8x10 prints, each hand-signed and numbered.

Once all 100 prints are sold in each edition, the edition will be retired, making each print a collectible keepsake of Southwestern University’s beloved chapel.
